5 Things That Have Made Me Happy This Week.

Admittedly its been ages since I've done one of these posts. But with all the negativity of exams and college being over with,  I'm feeling much more positive. I love reading these kinds of posts because they are so uplifting and usually show how the more little and simple things in life are the most rewarding. Anyway here are 5 things that have put a smile on my face in the past week.

1. Visiting my Nan and Auntie
Nowadays I rarely see my Grandma and my Auntie who's living with her now my Granddad's passed away. They live up in Lancashire so it's not like I can pop in whenever I like. We were making our way down from Scotland last week so decided to stay for a few days. It's so lovely being able to see family, and my Grandma and Auntie are two of the loveliest people.

2. Finishing College for the Year!
Yes I am so relieved, however unfortunately I still have to go back next year to finish photography. But I'll only be studying part time so I'm looking forward to getting a job and earning some more money, so I can save some up for University. My exams are over though and as I'm sure you're sick of me saying here I couldn't be happier. No more psychology and I can finally focus on my photography!

3. Newcastle Fun
For my last day at college we went to Newcastle to visit the University and explore the city. I had a really lovely time and I've never been to Newcastle before, so I had a great time walking around and taking photographs. We also had some amazing donuts which me and my friend wouldn't stop going on about.

4. My Best Friend Turned 19!
I've had a great weekend celebrating my bestie's 19th birthday. We went for a meal with some friends and had cocktails and then we went for an evening walk through a nearby park. I've known her for 6 years so I well up thinking of how much she's grown up.

5. Cooking with my Bestie
I slept over at my best friend's house the night of her birthday and the day after we had a great time listening to music and making cookies and a roast dinner for her family. She's a bakery student so I get to play around with all her specialist equipment. We normally bake something like a cheese cake so it was nice to make these Millie's style cookies.

Thanks for reading, what has made you happy this week?

The Lizard.

I'm back once again with some more photos from our little visit to Cornwall last weekend. This time I'm sharing those I took whilst having a short stroll on the lizard peninsular. We didn't quite get to the actual lizard point but we did stop at a stunning cove just down the coastline.

I also wanted to mention how relieved I am today as I've finally done my last exam which was A2 psychology. I've found the whole build up very stressful and its meant I haven't been able to blog or take photos or do anything I want to basically. I can't wait to start blogging properly again and really enjoy my summer. I still have a few commitments with college and other programs, but apart from that I finally feel like I can finally focus on what I want to do with my life. I'll save all that for another post though as I could talk about where I'm at at the moment for ages.

All I can say is, I'm back and I can't wait to create some posts, do some personal photography projects and create a couple of videos for you all.

I hope those of you who've been doing exams did well and good luck with your results in August. Thanks for reading as always.

Lands End.

Hello again. I'm currently sat typing this at midnight pondering over how I did in my first exam, which was yesterday I'm guessing for when you'll most likely be reading this. It was my my first A2 psychology exam and I think I did ok, but we'll have to wait and see. Moving aside from all that stress the past weekend has been so lovely. I went to the Derby open day on Saturday which was really nice and I will most likely apply to go there. However yesterday I visited Falmouth university all the way down in Cornwall and it is just perfect.

Me, my Dad and my sister drove down to Cornwall and stayed the night before the open day. We set off at 3 in the morning that day and got to Lands End at around 11am which is pretty good I guess although it was a Sunday. Living in Sheffield means I haven't really had much of a chance to explore the south west of our country and it was lovely to visit such a beautiful place, especially as the weather was so darn hot.

I've taken a fair few photographs as we went to a few places on our short visit. But today I thought I'd share my first set of photos which I took when we visited Land's End. I can now say I've visited the most Westerly part of Britain and a short while after we visited Lizard Point as well which is the most Southerly part of mainland Britain.
